INVITATION TO BID FOR PRIME CONTRACTS Upper Uwchlan Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania will receive sealed bids online for the “Upland Farm Barn Adaptive Reuseâ€? project. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the Boyle Construction’s Building Connected Program until 4:00 P.M. local time, March 30, 2021. This project will be rebid to multiple prime contracts, including the following: PLUMBING CONSTRUCTON FIRE PROTECTION CONSTRUCTION All Bid Documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at Building Connected –, available starting Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Prebid Conference: A voluntary Prebid Conference will NOT be conducted, however during the bid period, the existing building will be available for visitation by contractors and subcontractors. Please contact Tony Ganguzza, PE from Boyle Construction, Inc. at . During the bidding period, please submit all questions and substitution requests via Building Connected. Do not call or email the architect, Construction Manager (CM), or owner. Substitution requests will only be accepted during the bidding period, subject to the requirements outlined in this invitation. Optional material substitution requests will not be considered after the date and time stated above or during the construction phase. Questions and substitution requests will not be accepted after 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Bids may be held by the Owner and not withdrawn by the contractor for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder in the amount of 100% of the Contract on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents. A Waiver of Lien with each Application for Payment is required, and other required documents as required by the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bids or to reject any or all bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Owner reserves the right to modify the Contract Documents and rebid the project, if necessary, to meet Owner’s budgetary requirements or to enter into negotiations with any bidder. The work in this project shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442). Rate determinations are in the project manual.
