1 CONCRETE CULVERT
Sealed bids for the Mountain Road Culvert Project will be received by the Jackson Township Supervisors until 12 noon on Tuesday, the 4th day of May, 2021 at 682 Waller Divide Road, Benton, PA 17814. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:30 P.M. (local time) on Tuesday the 4th day of May, 2021 at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Jackson Township Supervisors at 682 Waller Divide Road in Benton PA.
The culvert contract includes activities and materials for removal of the existing concrete culvert and installing a 20’ precast, three sided concrete box culvert that has a span of 16’ and a rise of 7’, concrete footers and wing walls, tree removal, R-7 riprap armoring, water pumping and E&S measures.
A pre-bid conference will not be held for the Mountain Road Culvert Project. Questions in regards to the project can be directed to the Engineer of Record by email or the phone number provided below.
Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications may be obtained by contacting John T. Coleman, PE at Coleman Environmental Engineering, LLC, by phone (570) 233-0583, or email jcolemaneng@gmail.com. Electronic copies are available via an email attachment free of charge. Requests for printed copies of the documents shall be accompanied by a non-refundable payment to Coleman Environmental Engineering, LLC at 320 Mt Snow Circle, Zion Grove, PA 17985 in the amount of $120.00 per copy.
Each BID, when submitted, must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” that shall be ten percent (10%) of the amount of the BID and proof of worker’s compensation insurance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond.
Bids may not be in excess of project budget of $105,000.00.
The material and workmanship shall be in accordance with Standard Specifications of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408/2016 and all supplements thereto.
Bidders are advised that PA prevailing wage rates apply to this project.
Jackson Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the Bidding.
