According to projections provided today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, sales of new single family dwellings in March 2022 will be at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 763,000.

New Home Sales Facts

• 8.6 percent less than the revised February rate of 835,000
• 12.6 percent less than the March 2021 forecast of 873,000
• Mean sales price of a single family home was $436,000.00 with a average sales price of $523,900.00
• Seasonally‐adjusted estimate of new homes for sale March ending was 407,000. This amount of homes available shows a supply of 6.4 months at the current sales rate.
