NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Penndel Borough, offices located at 300 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA 19047, will receive sealed bids online until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on September 30, 2021 at which time and place the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud for: Contract #20-09071-01 BOROUGH HALL EXTERIOR WORK This contract consists of a base bid and alternate bids. The work consists of the installation of a new front entrance, steps, sidewalk and new ADA ramp at the Penndel Borough Hall. This includes the removal of existing features and maintenance of the existing porch overhang. Also included is new front door, landscaping, erosion & sedimentation controls, signage, grading, and railings. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL NEW DOOR, PORCH, AND RAMP AT MINIMUM TO ALLOW ADA ACCESS INTO THE BUILDING BEFORE TUESDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2021. All documents, specifications, and drawings can be obtained and secure bids submitted online at no cost. A nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Penndel Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Penndel Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Penndel Borough. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Penndel Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Township.
