NOTICE FOR BIDS ROAD PROJECTS South Middleton Township is accepting sealed bids for the following: 1. Middlesex Road — Widen, milling, fill with 2A modified. 2. Adams Road —Widen, milling, fill with 2A modified. 3. Mayapple Drive — Build up SR174 intersection, pave light leveling. 4. Lerew Road — Pave leveling and binder. 5. Commerce Avenue — Replace shoulders, base repair, leveling, and overlay. Each bid submission must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount payable to South Middleton Township. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount shall be submitted by the awardee(s) after execution of the contract, as well as a Worker’s Compensation Certificate. The deposits of bidders, other than the one(s) to whom the contracts is (are) awarded, will be returned immediately after execution of the contract. All projects to be completed as noted on individual proposals. Bids are to be submitted on forms supplied by the Township, and can be located on the Township website or by calling the office at 258-5324. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. on May 20, 2021 and said bids will be opened and read at 1:00 p.m. on May 20, 2021. Said bids will be awarded at the Board of Supervisors meeting on May 27, 2021 at 6:00 pm. prevailing time. South Middleton Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to readvertise and accept any proposal deemed to be most favorable to the interests of South Middleton Township. These projects are subject to Prevailing Wage Act and Regulations. The contractor will be charged $200.00 per working day until project is completed if not completed by said date.
