Utilities Building Expansion Project
Pursuant to Ind. Code §5-23-5-9, notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Lake Station, Indiana Sanitary District (the Board), will hold a public hearing on February 13, 2023, at 4:30 PM, In the Council Chambers at the Lake Station City Hall, 1969 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana concerning the Boards consideration of a recommendation to award a public-private agreement for the construction, operation, and transfer of an expansion of the Lake Station Utilities building located at 4341 Liverpool Road, Lake Station, Indiana (the Project), in accordance with Ind. Code §5-23 (the BOT Statute).
Pursuant to the BOT Statute, the Board issued a request for proposals and qualifications for the construction, financing, operation, and transfer of the Project. After review and analysis of proposals received, a recommendation has been made to the Board to award the public-private agreement to GM Development Companies LLC of Springport, IN. Copies of the proposals and a written explanation of the basis upon which the recommendation is being made are with the Board and are available for public inspection and copying at the Lake Station Clerk-Treasurers office in the Lake Station City Hall. An appointment can made by calling Amy Byers, Chief Deputy Clerk, at 219-850-1321. The public is invited to attend the public hearing and comment on any of the matters herein noted, and all taxpayers, residents, or interested parties who appear will be given a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the recommendation.
