TOWN OF ST. JOHN, INDIANA

POLICE-DIRECTED TOWING SERVICES

The Town of St. John, Lake County, Indiana will receive sealed proposals for Police-Directed Towing Services until 4:00 P.M., Central Time, June 4, 2021, at the Office of the Chief of Police, St. John Police Department, 11033 W. 93rd Avenue, St. John, Indiana 46373.

Any Firm (hereinafter “Contractor”) seeking to submit a proposal for such services shall submit same following the instructions and format of the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents, which may be obtained from the Office of the Chief of Police at the above address. Sealed envelopes or packages containing the proposal shall be addressed to the St. John Police Chief marked, “PROPOSAL FOR POLICE-DIRECTED TOWING SERVICES” on the outside of the envelope.

Proposals will be publicly opened and reviewed by the Chief of Police at 6:00 P.M., Central Time, during the public meeting of the Town of St. John Board of Safety on June 21, 2021, at the St. John Town Hall, 10955 W. 93rd Ave., St. John, Indiana 46373. Bidders, their authorized agents, and interested parties are invited to be present. No proposal shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of any proposal. Proposals that are not submitted on the Proposal form or that are not prepared in accordance with these Instructions to Bidder may be rejected. If not rejected, the Town may demand correction of any deficiency and accept the deficiently prepared proposal upon compliance with these Instructions to Bidders.

The Town reserves the right to determine the financial and operational capacity of any Contractor. Upon request of the Town, a Contractor shall furnish such evidence as may be required by the Town to evaluate its ability and resources to accomplish the necessary and required services. The Town shall unequivocally be the sole and final decision-maker of such ability and resources, and its decision shall be final and not subject to recourse by any person, firm or entity. The Town may award one (1) year contracts to up to four (4) Contractors which it, in its sole discretion, deems to be most suited to serve the best interests of the Town of St. John.
