NOTICE Sealed proposals will be received by New Britain Township of Bucks County, Pennsylvania at 207 Park Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914 until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 for the following: 1. Contract “A” Bituminous Wearing Course 1 1/2 ” minimum thickness Mill roadway approximately 16,437 square yards curb to curb 1 1/2 “, Apply approximately 300 tons of leveling course on Old Iron Hill Road and 1,550 tons of 1 1/2 ” Superpave Wearing Course to the approximate 16,437 square yards. Alternative #1, Mill roadway approximately 14,688 square yards curb to curb 1 1/2 “, Apply approximately 1,850 tons of leveling course and 1 1/2 ” Superpave Wearing Course to the approximate 14,688 square yards. Approximately, 900 feet of curbing and 900 feet of sidewalk with full depth replacement to match existing curb reveal and sidewalks. The curbs will need to meet Township curb and sidewalk specifications and any disturbed yards or landscaping will need to be returned to its original or better condition. Alternative #1 will be accepted or rejected at the Township’s discretion, as part of Contract “A”. Alternative #2 replacing all pavement markings on Brittany Drive and Old Iron Hill Road with Thermo material, see bid specs. for details. Alternative #2 will be accepted, rejected, or awarded individually at the Township’s discretion. All materials must meet PENN DOT Pub. 408 standards. 2. Contract “B” Bituminous Seal Coat “Single Chip” approximately 34,400 square yards of bituminous seal coat CRS-2PM. Alternative #1, Bituminous Seal Coat “Double Chip” approximately 14,688 square yards of bituminous seal coat CRS-2PM and a Type II Slurry Seal. Alternative #1 will be accepted or rejected at the Township’s discretion, as part of Contract “B”. All materials must meet PENN DOT Pub. 408 standards. Bidding documents for Contract “A” and Contract “B” may be purchased at the Township Building at the address noted above for a non-refundable cost of $10.00. Upon request those contract documents will be mailed for an additional $15.00. Bids must be accompanied by certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to New Britain Township. Bids will be opened at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Township Municipal Building and contract awards will be considered at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors beginning at 7:00 pm on Monday July 19, 2021. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by New Britain Township. Contract “A” & Contract “B” will require prevailing wage rates. New Britain Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or to award alternatives individually to the lowest qualified bidder.
