NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that electronic proposals will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, March 18, 2022 through the Bonfire project portal for the following:

Ivy Tech East Chicago Elevator Upgrade Project

Bids received after that time will be not be read. Bid opening will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. EST via Zoom. A calendar invitation will be sent to all bidders with Zoom meeting instructions.

A. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on March 4, 2022, at the project location. Per Covid-19 protocol, face masks are required while on site.

B. Contract documents have been prepared by RM Consulting and Engineering, 9102 N. Meridian St., Suite 480, Indianapolis, IN 46260, and are available through Bonfire, reference RFP #EC-031 Elevator Upgrade Project: https://ivytech.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/60261.

The bids shall be Lump Sum Price and submitted on the Bid Form based on the Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 52414, Form 96 (revised 2013), along with the Non-Collusion Affidavit and State Board of Trustees Resolution 2017-4. A bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount must accompany the submission.

The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish: a) payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount and to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance; and b) Certificates of Insurance as described in the Contract Documents.

All questions regarding the specifications, drawings, bid documents, or project site shall be submitted through Bonfire.

C. The work for which proposals are requested includes all labor, materials, equipment and items of materials and services required to provide the proper and complete construction of this project.

D. Along with bid and bid bond, the following are required with submission as referenced in the bid package:

•Contractor’s Qualification Statement AIA A305, with current financial statement

•Apprenticeship Program documentation: Certificates, Union/ABC Letter of Good Standing, Apprenticeship Enrollment (last 3 yrs.)

•Certificate of Insurance Liability

•Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) policy letter

•Substance Abuse policy letter

•Indiana E-Verify Affidavit

E. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid date without written consent of the Owner.

F. All prices shall be free of all Federal Excise Taxes and State Sales Tax, and upon request of supplier, tax exemption certificate will be executed by the College to the successful bidder to cover all items subject to this tax.
