Notice is hereby given that sealed bids shall be received, publicly opened and read aloud:

Date: October 20th, 2021

Bids received after stated time shall be returned, unopened.

The bids will be read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers, City Hall, 101 N. East Street, Crown Point, Indiana, 46307 immediately after the time set forth for bid receipt.

GENERAL PROJECT SCOPE

The Project consists of, but is not limited to, the following Work:

The construction of Bulldog Park Chiller Screen Wall includes an acoustical screen wall enclosure around the existing Amenities Building rooftop mechanical equipment.

METHOD OF BIDDING

Bids shall be based on a single unified prime contract “”stipulated sum”” basis, which includes all General

Construction, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, and Site/Civil work in full accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by CSO Architects, Inc., 8831 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Bids shall be properly and completely executed and submitted in a sealed envelope in accordance with the Instruction To Bidders and shall include a non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana,

A bid bond made payable to the Crown Point Board of Public Works and Safety in the amount of five percent (5)% of the total base bid amount shall be submitted with the Contractor’s bid.

The City of Crown Point Board of Works and Safety is exempt from Indiana State Sales Tax.

A one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder prior to execution of the Contract.

BIDDING DOCUMENTS

All bidders may purchase a set for the cost of reproduction. The cost of purchased sets not be refunded.

PRE BID CONFERENCE

A pre-bid conference shall be held on October 13, 2021, at 2 PM at the City Hall Council Chambers located at City Hall, 101 N. East Street, Crown Point, Indiana, to discuss the Project and answer contractor questions. A tour of the site shall be held immediately following the conference.

BID WITHDRAWL

No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals. The City of Crown Point Board of Public Works reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than sixty (60) calendar days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period. The City of Crown Point Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, when it is determined not to be in the best interests of the City of Crown Point Board of Public Works as determined by the City of Crown Point in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. Incomplete or non-responsive bids may be rejected by the City of Crown Point Board of Public Works as non-responsive or irregular.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Each bidder must ensure in a written statement that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Each bidder and any subcontractors shall be in compliance with the City of Crown Point’s Responsible Bidding Ordinance 2008-01-16. Each bidder shall acknowledge participation in the E-verify program according to IC 22-5-1.7 et seq. Each bidder must include a certification that bidder has not participated in collusion or other anticompetitive practices in connection with its proposal by executing and returning with its bid a Non-Collusion Affidavit. As required by IC 5-22-16.5, each bidder must certify that it is not engaged in investment activities in Iran. Providing false certification may result in the consequences listed in IC 5-22-16.5-14.
