NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Orwigsburg Borough Council, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania for the 2021 Road Improvement Project. Bids will be accepted at the Orwigsburg Borough Hall, 209 North Warren Street Orwigsburg, PA 17961 until 10:00 a.m. September 8, 2021 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Borough Council will meet on September 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to accept bids, refer to committee, award or reject bids. Contract Documents for the work are on file and can be obtained at the office of the Engineer, ARRO Consulting, Inc., 1239 Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, PA 17961 (570) 366-9534. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work must be completed prior to October 29, 2021. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Bituminous leveling course and bituminous overlay, incidental milling and sealing. The work location is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project drawings. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PADOT Publication 408 at the time of bid submission unless otherwise specified. Orwigsburg Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Borough.
