NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the West Mahanoy Township Board of Supervisors until 12:00 noon on Monday June 14, 2021 at the West Mahanoy Township Municipal Building, 190 Pennsylvania Avenue, Shenandoah, PA 17976 for the following: “2021 Road Program” for paving on various roads in West Mahanoy Township as follows: 1,741 Tons Bituminous Wearing Course with 9.5mm at 180 lb/sy All materials and workmanship must meet PENNDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. For the “2021 Road Program” project the Bidders do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals should be marked “2021 Road Program” Bid Proposal. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the West Mahanoy Township Municipal Building, 190 Pennsylvania Avenue, Shenandoah, PA 17976 or by calling Michael Michalik, Secretary at 570-462-2958, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at the Municipal Office located at 190 Pennsylvania Avenue, Shenandoah, PA 17976 all interested bidders should attend. This is not a mandatory meeting however, this is the only field view to be conducted by the Municipality and only questions presented at this meeting will be addressed prior to award unless the Municipality feels additional items or explanations need to be presented. After the pre-bid meeting these will be in the form of a written notice to all bidders. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to West Mahanoy Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract amount within 20 days of the award of the contract. PA Prevailing Wages will apply to the “2021 Road Program” Bid Proposal. All bids will be opened and read publicly at 12:00 noon on Monday June 14, 2021 at the Township Office and pending review presented to the West Mahanoy Township Board of Supervisors for action on June 15, 2021 at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The West Mahanoy Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
