NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received by the Delano Township Supervisors, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania for the Trenton Park Improvements Project. Bids will be accepted at the office of the Engineer, ARRO Consulting, Inc., 1239 Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, PA 17961 (570) 366-9534, until 4:00 P.M. on August 2, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Delano Township regular monthly meeting of August 2, 2021 at approximately 6:00 P.M. Contract Documents for the work are on file and can be obtained at the office of the Engineer, ARRO Consulting, Inc., 1239 Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, PA 17961 (570) 366-9534. Electronic copies of Contract Documents and Plans may be obtained from this source free of charge. Hard copies of the Contract Documents and Plans can be obtained for a nonrefundable fee of $50.00 per set. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work must be completed prior to November 19, 2021. The Work generally consists of improvements to the existing facilities which includes rehabilitation of a basketball court, site excavation / grading, installation of new structures, the construction of an ADA compliant paved parking stall and paved access path, installation of benches, waste receptacles and project acknowledgement sign. The work locations are more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project drawings. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prevailing wage requirements. All paving work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified. Delano Township, in accordance with Title VI of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 C.F.R., notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that DBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Delano Township reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS or portions thereof and to accept any BIDS, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township.
