Port Closures Throughout West Coast Cause Delays. Increased Risk For Additional Delays & Disruptions.

United States of America – Ports throughout the West Coast are seeing labor flares and work disruptions. Los Angeles and Long Beach will be affected now along with previous or other disruptions at ports that include the Ports Of Oakland, Tacoma, Seattle, and Hueneme.

Expect delays and confirm. Expect truck and trailer congestion near port on-loading and transportation areas and exits.

Ports like in Hawaii have reported minor ship receiving disruptions from the delays as of today. Backlogs are lower then pandemic levels but with the adding of two of the larger Ports could come more delays or disruption’s through the strikes.

“Today, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union is staging concerted and disruptive work actions that have effectively shut down operations at some marine terminals at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The Union is also staging similar work actions that have shut down or severely impacted terminal operations at the Ports of Oakland, Tacoma, Seattle, and Hueneme.”
