PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO BID FOR ON-CALL SOIL BORINGS AND PAVEMENT CORES CONTRACT BID NO. 21/22-34 Work under this contract includes the subsurface sampling and testing of soil and the coring of existing pavement for the purposes of determining pavement depths at various locations throughout the Town of Manchester. The contract is an on-call contract valid through December 31, 2022. Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Purchasing Director, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, Manchester, Connecticut 06040 for the project “ON-CALL SOIL BORINGS AND PAVEMENT CORES CONTRACT” until 2:00 P.M. on OCTOBER 20, 2021 at which time and place said bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids may be hand delivered to the above address or directed by U.S. Mail to said office at Town of Manchester, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, P.O. Box 191, Manchester, CT 06045-0191. The Contract Specifications (i.e., documents) may be downloaded from the Town website at http://generalservices1.townofmanchester.org/index.cfm/bids or may be obtained at the Purchasing Department, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, P.O. Box 191, Manchester, Connecticut 06045-0191. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, payable to the Town of Manchester, is required in the sum of 5 percent (5%) of the total bid. Bid security shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the Standard Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed to be in the public interest to do so, and to reserve any and/or all other rights as detailed in the Contract Documents. This bid is subject to the provisions of the Town of Manchester Living Wage Ordinance. A summary description of the ordinance and the certification form is attached. Contractors are asked to indicate on the attached Certification Form if your firm would be considered a covered employer. The Certification Form shall be returned to the Town with the proposal.
