PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors until 9 a.m. Thursday May 27, 2021 at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building, 271 Route 715, P.O. Box 243, Brodheadsville, PA 18322 for the following: “In Place Paving” on various roads located in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County 9,919 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 180 lb/sy Wearing Course 47,260 LF 4″ Double Yellow Center Line with Glass Beads All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders may be either a PENNDOT prequalified Prime or Sub Contractor and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building at the above address or by calling Ryan Schlogl at 570-992-7247, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Non-MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Township Building 271 Route 715, Brodheadsville PA 18322. All bidders should attend. For further information contact Dave Scheller or Ryan Schlogl at 570-992-7247, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Chestnuthill Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract and a certificate of liability insurance acceptable to the municipality prior to the start of any work. All bids will be opened publicly and read at approximately 9:15 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Township Building. The bids will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at the regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at approximately 7 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township.
