ADVERTISEMENT TO BID NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Straban Township Board of Supervisors will accept sealed bid proposals for the Recreation Park Trail Project until 11:00 AM on July 26th, 2021 at the Straban Township Municipal Office, at which time the bids shall be opened publicly and read. The Project consists of the construction of a 6′ wide porous asphalt walking trail at the Straban Township Recreation Park. The total quantity of porous asphalt is 2,260 square yards. The project site is located at 100 Smith Road, Gettysburg, PA. Owner: Straban Township Municipal Office 1745 Granite Station Rd Gettysburg, PA 17325 Engineer: Wm. F. Hill & Assoc., Inc. 207 Baltimore Street Gettysburg, PA 17325 (717) 334-9137 Copies of the bid documents may be examined without charge at the Owner’s address above or the office of the Engineer. Copies of bid documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, above, for a fee of $30.00 per set, non-refundable. Digital versions of the specifications are also available for a fee of $5.00, non-refundable. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount which shall be in the form of a cashier’s check, bank check or bid bond (on approved form). After the Bid opening, the Bidder may withdraw its Bid only by complying with applicable Federal, State, or local laws and regulations. Unless prohibited by such applicable laws and regulations, or if there are no applicable laws and regulations, the Bidder shall forfeit the entire amount of the Bid security upon the withdrawal of its bid after bids are opened. The Contractor is advised that Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates may apply to this project in accordance with the Wage Rate Determination included within these Contract Documents. Once received, bids shall remain open for the period provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Upon award of the low bid, the successful bidder will be required to supply a performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, certificates of insurance, and the Public Works Employment Verification form. The Straban Township Board of Supervisors hereby reserves the right, which it is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in the Bid.
