REQUEST FOR BIDS
TO SUPPLY HIDALGO COUNTY DRAINAGE DISTRICT No. 1 with sealed bids for RFB No. HCDD1-21-049-10-06-MSS, K-07-02 DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS
BIDDING DOCUMENTS, including drawings and technical specifications are on file and may be obtained by contacting Nora D. Cavazos, Executive Assistant I, at the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1, 902 N. Doolittle Road, Bldg. A, Edinburg, Texas 78542, telephone No. (956) 292-7080, at no charge for electronic copy or through file sharing services.
A PRE-BID MEETING is scheduled to be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 3:00 P.M., at the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 Offices, 902 N. Doolittle Rd. Edinburg, TX, 78542 or via videoconference with information to be provided to all participants or may be requested via email to nora.cavazos@hcdd1.org.
A BID BOND in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in the lieu of the Bid Bond.
STATUTORY BONDS by an acceptable surety for performance of the contract and for payment of mechanics and materials suppliers will be required from the successful bidder in the amount equal to 100% of the accepted bid to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1.
SEALED BIDS should be properly addressed and delivered to Moises Salazar, Procurement Manager, Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1, 902 N. Doolittle Road, Bldg. A, Edinburg, Texas 78542. ONE (1) ORIGINAL AND ONE (1) CD/USB IN PDF FORMAT OF ALL BIDS ARE REQUIRED with bidder’s name and return address clearly typed/printed on the upper left-hand corner, and the project number and name clearly typed/printed on the lower left-hand corner of the envelope and/or package:
BIDS DUE DATE: Bids will be accepted until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, at which time will be opened in the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 Office located at 902 N. Doolittle Road, Bldg. A, Edinburg, Texas 78542. Public attendance to Bid Openings may be in person or via video conference with information to be provided upon request via email to nora.cavazos@hcdd1.org .
NO FACSIMILES OR LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ACCEPTED. ANY BID RECEIVED AFTER THAT TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED AND WILL BE RETURNED. OVERNIGHT MAIL MUST ALSO BE PROPERLY LABELED ON THE OUTSIDE OF EXPRESS ENVELOPE OR PACKAGE IN REFERENCE TO BID.
BIDS MAY BE HELD by the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.
HIDALGO COUNTY DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1 reserves the right to refuse and reject any/all bids and to waive any/all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the bid considered the best and most advantageous to the District.
