City of Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks requests that qualified and experienced Trade Contractors submit Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications Forms no later than 11:00 AM, Thursday October 28, 2021. The RFQ is available at the city web site http://bids.worcesterma.gov beginning Wednesday October 6, 2021. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks is proposing to construct a new Doherty Memorial High School at 299 Highland Street, Worcester, MA. The project is a multi-phased project to construct a new high school to replace the existing Doherty Memorial High School, to be demolished. The existing school shall remain occupied during construction. The total estimated cost of the Project is approximately $293,000,000 and the construction duration is approximately forty-four (44) months. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. Chapter 149A. The City of Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks, through its Trade Contractor Prequalification Committee, is pre-qualifying firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services on this Public Construction Manager at Risk (CM at Risk) Project for the new Doherty Memorial High School project through this RFQ process. Information on the prequalification process, evaluation format and evaluation criteria are provided in the RFQ. Only pre-qualified firms will be permitted to submit bids for the category of work in which they were pre-qualified.
