Sealed bids in duplicate, on forms available from Coeur d’Alene Tribal Forestry, marked outside, “””Proposal for Timber, Shippnuntm Logging Unit”””, will be received until 11:00 A.M. Local Time at the Coeur d””‘Alene Forestry Building, 402 Ann Antelope Avenue, Plummer, Idaho on February 15th 2023. The sale is located 2 miles north of Plummer, Idaho just east of US Highway 95 at Louie Lane. Approximately 92 acres will be logged with an estimated 230 thousand board feet (MBF) of sawlogs and undetermined amount of tonwood and pulp. Minimum acceptable bids per MBF are: $260 for 90 MBF of Douglas-fir and Other Species Sawlogs and $180 for 140 MBF of Ponderosa Pine sawlogs. Stated volumes are estimated and are not guaranteed. A bid deposit in the form of a certified check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of credit, drawn payable to the order of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, in the amount of $5,000 must accompany each sealed bid. All other deposits will be returned following the completion of the bidding. The deposit of the successful bidder will be applied as part of the purchase price against timber cut on this unit only, or retained as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the amount of $8,000 within thirty (30) days of the acceptance of the bid.
