Sealed bids in duplicate, on forms available from Coeur d’Alene Tribal Forestry, marked outside, “””Proposal for Timber, Stubby Lake Logging Unit”””, will be received until 10:00 A.M. Local Time at the Coeur d””‘Alene Forestry Building, 402 Ann Antelope Avenue, Plummer, Idaho on February 15, 2023. The sale is located just north of Plummer, Idaho along Highway 95. Approximately 30 acres will be logged with an estimated 160 thousand board feet (MBF) of sawlogs designated for cutting. Estimated volumes/species and minimum acceptable bids/MBF are: 140 MBF of Douglas-fir and Other Species at $300; 20 MBF of Ponderosa Pine at $180; Stated volumes are estimated and are not guaranteed. A bid deposit in the form of a certified check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of credit, drawn payable to the order of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, in the amount of $5,000 must accompany each sealed bid. The deposit of the successful bidder will be applied as part of the purchase price against timber cut on this unit only, or retained as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the amount of $7,000 within thirty (30) days of the acceptance of the bid. All other deposits will be returned following the completion of the bidding.
