Sealed Bids

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by Cumberland Township, Adams County, PA at 1370 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 until 10:00 A.M., on Monday, April 22, 2021. Bids will then be opened and read aloud at 10:00 A.M. on April 22, 2021 at the Cumberland Township Building, at the same address. Bids will be publicly reviewed at the Supervisor’s Regular Meeting of April 27, 2021. The meeting begins at 7:00 P.M. and the bids will be acted upon at approximately 7:30 P.M. The location of the work varies along T-338 Herr’s Ridge Road, T-404 Ridge Road, T-407 Chapel Road, T-409 Chapel Ridge Road and the intersection of T-511- Spruce Drive and T-512 Lakeview Drive. The work generally consists of the following: all quantities are more or less; furnish labor and materials required to complete in place; Contract 1 – Ultra Thin Bonded Wearing Course; Contract 2 – Double Seal Coat with Fog Seal and Contract 3 – Drainage improvements; in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and associated restoration. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the Township Building, 1370 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 (717-334-6485). All bids shall be sealed and plainly marked “Cumberland Township 2021 Road Bids.” All work and material shall be in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Publication 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid Amount, made payable to Cumberland Township. The Contractor, upon notification of Intent to Award, shall provide the Owner, Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total Contract amount, as well as proof of worker’s compensation insurance. Cumberland Township, as the contracting owner, reserves the right to reject any and r all bids, or portions thereof, and alternates, to select individual or both components of the base bid, or to waive any irregularities.
