NOTICE TO BIDDERS

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

1.1 BID INFORMATION

A.Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Board of School Trustees of theDuneland School Corporation on February 23, 2023 until 10:00 a.m. CST (local time) for the:2023 Mechanical Renovations at: Support Services Center project. Bids will be opened andpublicly read aloud at the Duneland School Corporation Administration Office, 601 West MorganAvenue, Chesterton, Indiana 46304.

B.A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on February 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. CST (localtime) at Support Services Center, 1012 North Old State Road 49, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. All Bidders are encouraged to attend and sign in at the meeting, which will also be attended by theOwner, Architect and Engineer. A walk-through will immediately follow the pre-bid meeting.

C.Anticipated Award of Contract date: March 6, 2023

D.Anticipated Start of Construction: May 1, 2023

E.Anticipated Substantial Completion date: June 12, 2023

F.Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time. Bids received after this time shall be returned unopened.

G.Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of School Trustees, Duneland School Corporation.

H.Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Mr. Greg Lindy, Director of Support Services, 601 W. Morgan Avenue, Chesterton,IN 46304, ATTENTION: 2023 Mechanical Renovations at: Support Services Center – BID.

I.The Board of School Trustees of the Duneland School Corporation reserves the right to reject anyor all bids or parts thereof, or to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Duneland School Corporation. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled bid opening date.

J.All bidders must comply with all Board of School Trustees local policies as outlined in the biddingdocuments.

K.The Architect for the above referenced project is TRIA Architecture, Inc., (630) 455-4500.

L.Bidding documents are on file and may be obtained upon receipt of deposit in the amount of $100for 1 set of the bidding documents consisting of 2 sets of plans, 2 Project Manuals, 1 CompactDisc containing PDF files of drawings and project manual, and 1 set of bid forms from: GRI GillReprographics, Inc. 17W715 Butterfield Road, Suite B, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181, (630) 652-0800, www.gillrepro.com , chicagoorders@gillrepro.com.
