Request for Bid No. S-6770, PHASE G- TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE Project Description: The City of Stamford (City) has been awarded federal funding which provides funds to towns for the purpose of Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality improvements. These funds are being used to upgrade existing traffic signals at various locations along heavily travelled corridors in the City. The improvements included upgrading existing traffic control signal equipment and the related infrastructure. Construction shall be in accordance with Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Form 817 (2016), all supplements thereto and special provisions provided herein. Form 817 Standard Specifications may be purchased at the ConnDOT Plans Sales Office, 160 Pascone Place, Newington, Connecticut or downloaded from the state’s website. All proposals must be on the form furnished with the Contract Documents. This contract is subject to utilization goals and requirements for participation of certified disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The City of Stamford hereby notifies all bidders that this contract has been assigned a 5% goal for DBE, as certified by ConnDOT. Full instructions and forms are included in the Bidding Documents.
