TOWN OF BARNSTABLE INVITATION FOR BID The Department of Public Works, is requesting bids for the following: 2021 STRAWBERRY HILL SEWER EXPANSION PROJECT, CWSRF 6714. Sealed General Contract bids will be received at the Town of Barnstable, Chief Procurement Officer, PROCUREMENT LOCK BOX, 230 South Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 until 2:00 PM May 26, 2021. Virtual Bid Openings will be held via Zoom. Bid specifications may be obtained on the Town of Barnstable Website, Bid & RFP System at www.townofbarnstable.us immediately. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Five percent (5%) Bid Bond is required. A Virtual non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held 5/12/21 at 11am. All bidders’ questions are due by not later than 12:00 PM, May 17, 2021. Liquidated Damages are required. Full compliance with Federal, State and Municipal Wage Laws is required of all work done for the Town of Barnstable. Davis Bacon dated 03/19/2021 Wage Rates or Prevailing Wage Rates dated 02/26/2021 are applicable to this project, whichever is higher. OSHA certification is required. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.2 percent D/MBE participation and 4.5 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The work under this contract is funded in part by the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust (the “Trust”). Neither the Commonwealth of Massachusetts nor the Trust is a party to this Contract. This Project requires compliance with the Department of Environmental Protection’s Diesel Retrofit Program. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of all applicable Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 3039M Laws as amended and other applicable Massachusetts General Laws. The Town of Barnstable reserves the right to waive any formalities, to reject any or all proposals or waive any formalities that appear to be in the best interest of the Town. May 2, 2021
