REQUEST FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be solicited by the Borough of Carroll Valley, Adams County, Pennsylvania; for the items below. Items as listed below will be bid as individual proposals with each numbered item indicating a separate bid. 1. Crushed stone of various sizes to meet Pennsylvania Department of Transportation specifications as listed on the bidding documents. 2. Road line painting, double yellow 4-inch wide lines and single white 4-inch wide fog lines. 3. The requirements of gasoline, diesel fuel, liquid propane, MC-30 Asphalt Dust Oil, and E-3 Emulsified Asphalt. 4. Pre-mixed bituminous stock pile patching material; various superpave mixtures; and seal coating all in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation specifications as listed on the bidding documents. 5. The following equipment for use in bar-patching of Borough Roadways: a. Hourly-aily Rental Rate for Rubber-Tired Roller b. Hourly-aily Rental Rate for Motorized Chipper c. Hourly-aily Rental Rate for Tri-Axle Dump Trucks The quantities for all items are reflected on the actual bid forms. Quantities specified are in the bid process for the sole purpose of obtaining a unit price. The public body shall not be penalized if actual use is more or less than quantities reflected on the bid sheets. Bids will be publicly opened and recorded by the staff or representatives of the public body on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. by the Carroll Valley Borough Staff. Bid awards will be made at an official public meeting of the Borough of Carroll Valley, 5685 Fairfield Road, Carroll Valley on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. All bids shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes marked as required by the specifications and shall be submitted to the Secretary of The Borough of Carroll Valley no later than 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
