TOWNSHIP OF LOWER MERION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1. Sealed Proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following: Ashbridge House Exterior Door and Window Repairs Contract Number: 4489-21-19 2. Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (www.Pennbid.net). 3. Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, May 13, 2021 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 4. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. 5. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. 6. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above. 7. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Ashbridge House at 1301 W Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA 19010 on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2 pm, for all interested Bidders. 8. Scope of Work The work includes, but is not limited to, repair of 3 exterior painted wood doors, 43 painted wood windows, and painted wood shutters in accordance to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Work. The repairs consist of epoxy wood consolidation; selective glass pane replacement; selective component replacement; cleaning, preparation, and painting; restoration of hardware; sealant; etc. The award is anticipated June 2021 with the Notice to Proceed for July / August 2021. 9. Detailed specifications developed by the Pennoni Associates, Inc, McGuffin Associates, and Martin J. Rosenblum, AIA & Associates. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questionsâ€? feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of April 30, 2021. 10. ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON’S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION. 11. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township. Jody L.
