Continuing Jobless Claims Decline

Washington, D.C. – Continuing jobless claims in the United States declined to 2.82 million in the week ending August 7th, 2021 from a revised 2.90 million the previous week and below market forecasts of 2.80 million. Federal supplemental benefits end in weeks and covid related variant risks still are accumulating.
