ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BLYTHE TOWNSHIP SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY SAINT CLAIR, PENNSYLVANIA LEACHATE LINE AND LANDFILL GAS COLLECTOR INSTALLATION General Notice Blythe Township Solid Waste Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the following Project: Leachate Line and Landfill Gas Collector Installation The work includes supply and installation of a leachate header line, horizontal landfill gas collectors, and other gas collection components. Bids for the Project will be received at the Blythe Recycling and Demolition Site (BRADS) Landfill located at 1061 Burma Road, Saint Clair, Pennsylvania 17970 until September 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at the Maintenance Shop. Bidders should be aware that the U.S. Postal Service does not deliver to this physical address. Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: SCS Engineers 22 Denver Road, Suite E Denver, PA 17517 610-568-9034 Attn: Denise Wessels, PE, dwessels@scsengineers.com Prospective Bidders may obtain PDF copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office beginning August 1, 2021 by email request to Denise Wessels, PE (dwessels@scs engineers.com). Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Pre-bid Conference A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on August 10, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the BRADS Landfill Maintenance Shop located at 1061 Burma Road, Saint Clair, Pennsylvania 17970. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory. Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount of 100% of the contract amount. Award of the Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities permitted by law.
