ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS THE GREATER SCRANTON YMCA WILL RECEIVE SEALED BIDS for the Boiler Replacement at the YMCA, 706 North Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA 18512. Bids will be received at the Office of the Chief Executive Director, Trish Fisher, YMCA, 706 North Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA 18512, prior to 4:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on July 14, 2021 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All work is included under one (1) prime contract. It is the intent of the Owner to award the Contract following bid approval. Contractor work to be substantially complete by October 1, 2021. Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Documents may be obtained on or after June 20, 2021 by contacting the Office of A+E Group, 140 Maffet Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, phone: (570) 822-8500, fax: (570) 822-0297. Online access will be provided through the Architect’s FTP site. Printed documents may be obtained after June 20, 2021 by contacting the Office of A+E Group, and payment of a $100.00 non-refundable fee to A+E Group. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM, local time, on July 1, 2021 at the project site, 706 North Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA 18512. Each bid, when submitted, must be accompanied by a Bid Security that shall not be less than ten percent of the amount of the Total Base Bid, a Non-collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder, and Statement of Bidders Qualification. The successful Bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond and Liability Insurance. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Instruction to Bidders. Each bid must be submitted on the Bid Form provided. Bidders shall not alter this form in anyway. All Bidders must be registered on the A+E Group’s Bidders List. A Bidder must obtain Contracting Documents from A+E Group or instruct A+E Group in writing to register the Bidder on the Bidders List. The Owner reserves the right to not open a Bid from any Bidder who is not registered on the Architect’s Bidders List. The successful contractor must certify in writing for itself and all its subcontractors that as of the date of contract execution that they are in compliance with the “State Contractor Responsibility Program”. The Labor Standards, Wage Determination Decision and Anti-Kickback regulation (29 CFR, Part 3) issued by the Secretary of Labor are included in the contract documents of this project and govern all work under the contracts. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in, or to reject, any or all proposals or parts thereof. Questions with regards to the Procurement and Contracting Documents, Bidders List, bid submission, or other items shall be directed in writing to the A+E Group.
