DOCUMENT 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS West Norriton Township at their offices, at 1630 W. Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403, will receive sealed bids online until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time on May 6, 2021 at which time and place the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud for: 2021 WEST NORRITON TOWNSHIP ROAD PROGRAM This project involves a base bid and alternate bids for the milling and paving of roadway surfaces at several specified locations within West Norriton Township. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and Township Standards. Asphalt materials shall be based on PennDOT’s APRIL 2021 Asphalt Cement Price Index. All Bid Documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at PennBid™ www.PennBid.net. Click on the “Solicitationsâ€? then “Viewâ€? tabs. A nominal fee of 0.25% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders awarded contracts. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with Article 15 of the Instructions to Bidders and Document 00 21 13 Instructions – Submitting Electronic Bids For This Solicitation and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to West Norriton Township along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of West Norriton Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by West Norriton Township. The project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, PA Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. West Norriton Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
