INVITATION FOR BIDS 2022 Roadway Resurfacing and Maintenance Work Contract # 2022-DPS-R001-847489 The City of Newburyport, Department of Public Services is accepting Invitation for Bids (IFB) from qualified contractors for the resurfacing and maintenance of various roadways throughout the City, pursuant to M.G.L. C30, §39M. The proposed work under this contract will include full depth pavement reconstruction & reclamation, pavement milling, overlaying, excavating existing pavement, fine grading and compacting prior to paving. Also, hot mix asphalt paving/curbing, removing and resetting/installing new or existing granite or brick curbing. Reconstruction or constructing new sidewalks and driveway aprons to meet ADA/AAB requirements. Placing safety controls and signage for construction operations and other incidental items will be required. Prevailing wages apply. The Invitation for Bid and all corresponding documents will be available online for free from www.projectdog.com website starting at 10:00am Wednesday, January 19, 2022. DEADLINE for submitting E-bids to Projectdog.com is 1:00pm, Thursday February 3, 2022. At 1:00pm, a list of Bids received will be displayed on-line at www.projectdog.com to all interested and registered parties to view. Bids will be reviewed and the award will be announced the following week. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a Bid Bond, Treasurer’s Check, Cashier’s Check or Certified Check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. Checks must be mailed to Dept. of Public Services, Attn: Jen Sullivan 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950 and a copy of the check should be submitted with bid. The award will be for one year with two (2) consecutive one-year options to renew at the sole discretion of the City. A copy of the IFB will be available to view only, at Projectdog.com, Newburyport, from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Bidders must be MassDOT prequalified in “Highway ­ Construction” at the appropriate dollar threshold.
