LEGAL ADVERTISEMENTADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Vernon Housing Authority (VHA) will receive sealed bids, in triplicate, for the Project entitled:Substantial Rehabilitation at 6 Becker Place. Bid Opening date is May 13, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Vernon Housing Authority, 21 Court Street, Vernon, CT 06066. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid walk thru will be held on April 26, 2021 at 2:00pm beginning at 6 Becker Place, Vernon, CT 06066. Contract documents including plans & specifications can be purchased from Advanced Reprographics website. Visit www.advancedrepro.net, select planroom, select access our planroom here, select all public jobs and select Substantial Rehabilitation at 6 Becker Place for the Vernon Housing Authority, on April 19, 2021. 5% Bid Security (Over $25K ONLY) and 100% Performance/Payment Bonds (Over $100K ONLY) are required. Bidders will note requirements of minimum wage rates, nondiscrimination/equal opportunity rules (Executive Order 11246) and related provisions in the General Conditions. No bid shall be withdrawn for ninety (90) days. Complete bidding requirements are noted in the Contract Documents. This project is federally assisted. Therefore, bidders must comply with the following requirements: Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; Equal Opportunity provisions of Executive Order 11246; Non-Discrimination provision of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Labor Standards provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act and related acts and Contract Work Hours Standards Act; prevailing wage determinations as issued by the United States Department of Labor; and all applicable provisions under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974.
