Public NoticeClark Memorial Library Children’s Room Renovation Multiple Prime contractors are invited to submit a bid for a Stipulated Sum to the Bethany Library Association for construction renovations to the Children’s Room of Clark Memorial Library located at 538 Amity Road in Bethany CT before 2:00 PM on Friday July 30 at which time they will be officially opened. The project will be managed by an agent of the Bethany Library Association and contracts will be awarded to successful bidder in the following categories: General Building Contractor (B). Bid documents may be obtained by contacting Gayle Bogel, Library Director at 203-393-2103 or at director@bethanylibrary.org. Bidders are required to provide an email address for communication and download of PDF documents.. Printing of documents will be at the bidders’ expense. There will be a Bidders site inspection on Monday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is mandatory. Addenda to Bid Documents may be issued up to five days prior to bid opening. Addenda will be provided electronically by email only. Bid modifications and withdrawals are allowed up to the bid opening.Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a certified check of a sum no less than 5% of the bid amount. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a 100% payment and performance bond with execution of the construction contract. Offers will may not be revoked for 60 days after submission. It is the intent of the Bethany Library Association to award the contract to the lowest responsible Bidder. Bethany Library Association is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers and to waive informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the Project and the Owner.Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids will be funded in part by a grant from the Connecticut State Library in the amount of $131,214.00. (One hundred thirty-one thousand two hundred fourteen dollars.) Neither the State of Connecticut nor any of its departments, agencies or employees is or will be party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract.
