Invitation for Bid # 20-343 The Chicopee Housing Authority (CHA) invites General Contractors to submit sealed bids for the removal and replacement of paved parking area including storm drainage improvements and line striping at the Canterbury Arms Apartments, 165 East Main Street, Chicopee. The project is being bid under the provisions of MGL Chapter 30-39M. The work is estimated to cost $172,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.l49 §44A-J and to Davis Bacon wage rates. Interested parties are invited to a pre-bid conference beginning at 165 East Main Street, Chicopee on July 1, 2021, at 10am. THIS PROJECT IS BEING BID ELECTRONICALLY; HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at http://www.tighebond.com/Projects_Out_to_Bid.php. Plan deposit is $25/set and a mailing fee of $25 also applies. General Bids must be submitted electronically no later than 2pm on July 15, 2021. No bids will be accepted after the stated time and date. General bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to 5% of the contractor’s total bid including alternates payable to the Chicopee Housing Authority by certified, treasurers or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company or a bid bond.
