ADVERTISEMENT CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT Invitation for Bids No. 22-036; On-Call HVAC Repairs and Maintenance Requesting Department: Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Department Bids will be received until 2:00 PM EST: September 16, 2021 by: The Office of Procurement Lauren Stabilo, Chief Procurement Officer 36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield MA 01103 Phone (413) 787-6284 FAX 787-6295 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning September 1, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other applicable procurement statutes. All Bidders must be DCAMM certified in the following trade category: HVAC. The City is seeking Contractors to furnish all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to supply, install, and repair various types of HVAC equipment and related heating/cooling systems. The services will be in various municipal and school locations throughout the City on an as needed basis as determined by the Facilities Department and will be for less $50K per project. The City intends to award up to Five (5) potential contracts to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) shall not exceed $250,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’ sole discretion. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement by September 9, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. (sduncan@springfieldcityhall.com) to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
