INVITATION TO BID OLYPHANT BOROUGH PEDESTRIAN UPDATE PROJECT The Borough of Olyphant Council will receive sealed bids for the following project at the Borough Manager’s Office, Olyphant Borough Building, 113 Willow Avenue, Floor, Olyphant, PA 18447, until 4:00 P.M. on July 6, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Public Bid Opening to be held at 7:00 P.M. the same day in the Olyphant Borough Council Chamber, Olyphant Borough Building, above address. Bids are invited for the following project: Olyphant Borough – Pedestrian Update Project: Base Bid: The project consists of improvements to pedestrian movements along Lackawanna Avenue at the intersections of Delaware, Susquehanna, Willow and Hull Avenues. The project consisting of the following: rectangular rapid flashing beacon system, epoxy painting, Type F Signs, Pedestrian stub poles, signal cable, pedestrian signal heads, video detector, controller/timing update, Type B signs, and related items. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on June 22, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at the Olyphant Borough Building, as aforesaid. The bid must be accompanied by a certified/ cashier’s check or Bid Bond in favor of Olyphant Borough, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount. Bidders must submit with their bids all forms listed in the Attachments to Plans and Specifications. Olyphant Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed or delivered to the undersigned within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof, or at any time thereafter before the Bid is withdrawn, the undersigned agrees to execute and deliver the Agreement in the form prescribed by Olyphant Borough or forfeit said Bid Security. State Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to his contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, and related matters. Only bidders receiving a full document set through Olyphant Borough will be on record to receive Addenda. Checks must be made payable to Olyphant Borough. The proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope containing Bid, Bid Bond (or other approved bid security), Unit Price Sheet, Bid Proposal, Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications, Non-Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder and Certification of Non Segregated Facilities, shall be addressed to Olyphant Borough Manager’s Office, Olyphant Borough Building, 113 Willow Avenue, Olyphant, PA, 18447 and shall be plainly marked with the wording, “Proposal for Olyphant Borough – Pedestrian Update Project – Bid Package”.
