REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional construction management and Inspection services in connection with the following:
Construction Management and Inspection Services for Resurfacing of Various County Roads Phase 67 PIN 0761.16
The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services to manage the construction project for the Department’s Construction Management Unit: Highway/Bridge Construction Group. These services shall include providing Resident Engineering, Office Engineering and Construction inspection Services for resurfacing various Nassau County roads throughout Nassau County. The firms selected to provide these services will each be awarded a two (2) year Agreement with the County.
Proposal submissions regarding this project are due on or before Monday March 01, 2021 no later than 4:00 pm EST at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted.
Please note that this is not the Request for Proposals. An actual copy of the RFP may be obtained on the Nassau County website (https://eproc.nassaucountyny.gov/MainBidBoard). Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.
The proposer shall be required to comply with a 20% DBE goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002.
Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. In addition, any vendor submitting an offer for this solicitation should submit the required vendor disclosures in the Vendor Portal as well.
