LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF GUILFORD INVITATION TO BID #8-2021 PICKLEBALL COURTS BITTNER PARK The Town of Guilford is seeking competitive bids for the construction of Pickleball Courts at Bittner Park. Sealed bids are due on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the office of the First Selectman, on the second floor of Town Hall, 31 Park Street, Guilford, CT 06437 at which time they will be opened publicly. Bids received after this date and time will be rejected. Sealed Bid envelopes (including overnight packaging) should be labeled with bid number, bid title and marked “time sensitive”. Bid specifications may be obtained at the Office of the First Selectman or ay be accessed from the Town of Guilford’s website at www.ci.guilford.ct.us or the Department of Administrative Services procurement website. A mandatory pre-bid walk through is scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the project site located at Bittner Park, 1350 Durham Road (Conn. Route 77), Guilford, CT. Any questions regarding the specifications may be directed, in writing only, no later than 12 Noon Thursday, April 29, 2021 to Rick Maynard, Director of Parks and Recreation at maynardr@ci.guilford.ct.us with a copy to the Purchasing Department at barrettp@ci.guilford.ct.us and ahernv@ci.guilford.ct.us. Each bidder will be required to submit to the Office of the First Selectman, their original proposal with one (1) copy, one (1) electronic copy, and a bid bond or cashier’s check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid. Each bidder shall honor the bid price for ninety (90) business days from the date of the bid opening, without modification. Upon award of the bid, the winning bidder shall be bound by the bid proposal price throughout the contract period. The Town of Guilford reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to waive defects in same, if it deems such to be in the best interest of the Town.
