Downingtown Area School District Additions & Alterations to Downingtown High School West DOCUMENT 00 1116 – INVITATION TO BID Separate sealed Bids for Additions & Alterations to Downingtown High School West shall be received by Dale Lauver, Director of Facilities, until 10:00 am, prevailing local time, February 22, 2023. Bids shall be received at the Downingtown Area School District Administration Offices, 540 Trestle Place, Downingtown, PA 19335. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after specified closing time, in Staff Development Room B at 540 Trestle Place. Work will be bid as the following Prime Contracts: Contract No. 1 General Construction Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction Contract No. 3 Plumbing Construction Contract No. 4 Electrical Construction Bidding Documents will be available January 24 at 3:00 pm. Bidders are required to secure a complete set of Bidding Documents for all contracts. A complete set of Bidding Documents in PDF electronic format may be secured only through the Share File link from the offices of KCBA Architects, 8 East Broad Street, Hatfield, Pennsylvania, 19440 (Phone: (215) 368-5806). A nonrefundable fee of One Hundred dollars ($100.00), payable to the Architect, is required to obtain the documents. Email: bids@kcba-architects.com to register as a prime bidder. The Share Link will be provided when payment is received. Additional project information is available at the following link: https://kcba-architects.com/contact/bid-room/ Pre-bid meeting will be held as follows: February 13, 2023 at 3:30 pm prevailing local time. The meeting will be held at Downingtown High School West, 445 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Contractors are requested to meet in the front lobby. While not mandatory, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-bid meeting. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, money order or cashier’s good faith check payable to the Order of Downingtown Area School District, or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid, as security. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit in the form set forth in the Bidding Documents. The right to waive any informality in any Bid, to reject any or all Bids or to award any Contract in the best interest of the Owner is reserved. Bidders on this Work and all subcontractors shall comply with all provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
