TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2021 – SNOW REMOVAL BID – Sealed Proposals will be received by Birmingham Township, Chester County, PA at the Township Office, 1040 W. Street Road, West Chester, PA 19382, until 1 PM on Tuesday September 7, 2021 for the following: Furnish upon an hourly basis as needed the following equipment with the necessary operators for the purpose of snow plowing, snow removal, and salting and cindering Township roads. Materials to be supplied by Birmingham Township, but stored by the successful bidder during the 2021/2022 winter season: 1. 2 ½ yard track loader 2. 1 ½ yard track loader 3. Grader with 14-foot blade 4. D-8 track dozer with 12-foot blade 5. D-4 track dozer with 9-foot blade 6. 1 ½ yard rubber tire loader and backhoe 7. Dump truck with 10-foot plow and spreader 8. 4×4 truck with 8-foot plow and spreader 9. Tractor and lowboy 10. Labor The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Birmingham Township. Bidder must also supply proof of workers’ compensation insurance and liability insurance at $500,000.00 minimum. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a written agreement with the Township and to provide a performance bond in the amount of $80,000.00. The bids will be opened at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the regularly scheduled Township meeting. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
