DARBY BOROUGH SEALED BIDS will be received by Darby Borough at the Darby Borough Office, 1020 Ridge Avenue, Darby, PA 19023 until Friday, December 10, 2021 at 9:30AM (prevailing time), and will be publicly opened and read at that time for the following project: DEMOLITION AND SITE RESTORATION OF 621 MAIN STREET. Scope of work includes the demolition of the structure, debris disposal, backfill and grading of the site to provide for positive drainage. Proposal forms and specifications are obtainable from the Darby Borough Office, weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. A non-refundable charge of $40.00 made payable to “Darby Boroughâ€? is required for a copy of the bid documents and specifications. The Darby Borough Council reserves the right to reject any bid and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose services are judged to best meet the interest of the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities during the evaluation of the bids. Payment of Prevailing wages is required; the determination is included in the bid package. Bidders shall comply with insurance requirements. A Certified Check or Bid Bond for the amount of ten percent (10%) of total bid price shall be required for bid submission. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required by the successful bidder in the amount of 100% of the contract price and shall be required at the time of contract execution. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful Contractor shall respond within ten (10) days of the contract award.
