The Work comprises of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required for: 1. Removal and disposal of, and modifications to: the existing sludge piping ranging in size from 12â? to 36â? diameter; existing equipment; electrical, instrumentation and controls located in the Final Tanks Operating Gallery and Aeration Tanks Piping Gallery, as indicated and specified in the Contract Documents; 2. Installation of new sludge piping ranging in size from 12â? to 36â? diameter and appurtenances; electrical, instrumentation and control systems located in the Final Tanks Operating Gallery and Aeration Tanks Piping Gallery, as indicated and specified in the Contract Documents; 3. Modification and upgrade to the existing electrical and instrumentation system related to the Secondary System Sludge Piping System. 4. Modifications to the existing SCADA system, as required to incorporate to new controls. 5. Maintenance of plant operations. The Contract Documents consist of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Drawings, Specifications and Addenda. Bidders are advised that this Contract is funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure financing programs and the successful bidder must comply with the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9 for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by Socially and Economically Disadvantaged (SED) individuals. Bidders are advised the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SED) goal for this project is twelve percent (12%).
