NOTICE – -Advertisement for bids – -Merakey will receive sealed bids from bona fide bidders until 1:00 p.m. prevailing – – time Monday, August 30, 2021 at 4251 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 for the construction of the Newport MH-IDD Office. Bids for the following prime construction contractors shall be accepted: – -1. General Construction. – -2. HVAC Construction – -3. Electrical Construction. – -4. Plumbing Construction. – -Bid envelope shall be sealed and clearly marked ‘Newport MH-IDD Office” and – -submitted with due date, time and Prime Contract. Bids will be opened publically and read aloud at 1:15pm, 30 August 2021. – -Bona fide contract bidders may obtain Bidding Documents after 10:00 a.m. – – Monday 09 August 2021 by contacting LeFevre Wilk Architects LLC, 7 East Pine Street, Selinsgrove, PA, 17870. Phone: 570-374-5130. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Addenda will be issued to registered bidders only. – -1. Bid Documents will only be available in electronic format on a flash drive. – -Printed documents will not be issued. – -2. There will be a $50.00 fee for the bidding documents. Bidders must register – -to receive initial bid documents and addenda. Required registration – – information includes: Prime Contract category, firm name, firm address, – -firm contact person”s name, firm contact person”s email and firm contact”s – -phone number. – -Bid security shall be: A certified check or bank draft payable to Merakey, or a – – satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder must include the fully completed documents listed on the Bid Checklist. – -The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Performance – -Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Base Bid. The cost of these bonds must be included as part of the base bid price. No individual sureties will be allowed. Surety must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. – -A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/site access will be provided at 10:00am on – – Friday 13 August 2021 at the project site located at 134 South 5th Street, Newport, PA 17044. – -No Other Site Inspection Available At This Time. – -Bids may be held by Merakey for up to 30 days from the date of opening for the – -purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
