PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO BID FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT ILLING MIDDLE SCHOOL AND MANCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL BID NO. 20/21-64 Work under this contract includes the construction of a 15 stall parking lot at Illing Middle School and the resurfacing of perimeter access roads at Illing Middle School and Manchester High School. It includes other appurtenant work such as concrete sidewalk and minor storm drainage construction. Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Director of General Services, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, Manchester, Connecticut 06040 for the project “SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT ILLING MIDDLE SCHOOL AND MANCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL” until 2:00 P.M. on MAY 25, 2021 at which time and place said bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids may be hand delivered to the above address or directed by U.S. Mail to said office at Town of Manchester, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, P.O. Box 191, Manchester, CT 06045-0191. The Contract Drawings and Specifications (i.e., documents) may be examined at the office of the Director of General Services, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street, P.O. Box 191, Manchester, Connecticut 06045-0191. Paper sets of the documents can be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $10.00/set in cash or check, made payable to the Town of Manchester. Contract documents may also be downloaded from the Town of Manchester website at http://generalservices1.townofmanchester.org/index.cfm/bids/. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, payable to the Town of Manchester, is required in the sum of 5 percent (5%) of the total bid. Bid security shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the Standard Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed to be in the public interest to do so, and to reserve any and/or all other rights as detailed in the Contract Documents.
