PUBLIC NOTICE The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD)

The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is pleased to announce the Measure E Improvements for South Lake Middle School. During the construction period some students will be temporarily housed in relocatable buildings. The District will be placing four (4) interim housing portables, performing an extensive modernization and expanding the building at the front of the campus. This work is anticipated to begin construction June 2021 through December 2022.

In June 2016, Measure E was passed by the voters within IUSD to provide funding for improvements at several of our existing campuses.

In compliance with IUSD Board of Education Policy and Administrative Regulation – 7110.1 on the placement of structures on existing school sites, we are notifying you of IUSD’s intent to expand the existing facility at South Lake Middle School.

All interested persons are invited to participate in the Public Information Meeting, which will provide information on the proposed project. IUSD representatives will be available to answer questions. In an effort to protect public health and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Public Information Meeting will broadcast live at https://iusd.org/business-services/facilities-planning-construction services/bidder-information-public-notices and by clicking on the “Public Information Meetings” tab. This meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021. If you are unable to attend, but would like to submit comments, you may do so by sending them to:
