Dyer Utility Board Waste Water Treatment Plant

Phosphorus Removal Chemical Addition Project

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Phosphorus Removal Project will be received by the Town of Dyer, Clerk-Treasurer, at the Town Hall, One Town Square, Dyer, Indiana, 46311, until 10:00 A.M., local prevailing time, on February 17th, 2021. The Bids will be opened and read aloud on the same date, at a public meeting to be held at that time. Any bids received later than the above time and date specified will be returned unopened.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of the furnishing and installation of all equipment, labor and materials for the construction of one 5400 gallon polyethylene tank, concrete slab, above and underground piping, three peristaltic pumps and associated work not specifically listed herein, within the Town of Dyer Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Project Documents may be obtained starting January 22nd, 2021, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, at the Office of NIES Engineering, Inc., 2421 173rd Street, Hammond, Indiana, 46323, (219)844-8680. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 is required for each set of Project Documents, which includes Plans and Project Manual. The fee shall be in the form of a check made payable to the Town of Dyer. The Project Documents may be EXAMINED, by appointment only, at the office of NIES Engineering. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, signed copies of Addenda (if issued), satisfactory bid security, and sign copy of Certification Regarding Unauthorized Aliens, as set forth in the Project Documents.

A certified or cashiers check payable to Town of Dyer or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Security may be retained by the Town for a period of not-to-exceed thirty (30) days for all contractors and not-to-exceed ninety (90) days for the contractor given tentative award of Contract. The successful Contractor will be required to provide separate Performance and Labor and Material Bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount.

Bidders must be experienced in the installation of pumps, tanks and the construction of the type of facilities to be constructed under the contract for which a bid is submitted.

A Non Mandatory Pre Bid Conference will be held at the Town of Dyer, Waste Water Treatment Plant, located at 516 Edmond Dr., Dyer, Indiana 46311, on February 3rd, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. (local time) for all Bidders.

The Town of Dyer reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Town deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
