THE TOWN OF MADISON REQUESTS CONSTRUCTION BIDS The Town of Madison requests bids for construction at the Brown Intermediate and Polson Middle Schools. The project consists of, but is not limited to, selective demolition work, new construction including doors and windows, door hardware, security glass and glazing, new partitions, acoustical insulation, suspended acoustical ceilings, architectural woodwork, interior finishes, and mechanical, electrical, sprinkler and plumbing work. Landscaping work is also included. The construction project is planned to start on June 20th, 2021. Construction shall be completed by August 14th, 2021. Bid documents in complete sets only will be available, at cost, electronically from Action Blueprint, 284 Broad Street, Manchester, CT 06040 (Ph: 860 647-1223) during normal business hours Monday through Friday, beginning after 10 A.M. Wednesday, December 1, 2021. If hard copies are required, full set only may be obtained from Action Blueprint at cost. Partial Sets will not be issued. Bidding Documents have been prepared by Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc., 225 Oakland Road, Studio 205, South Windsor, CT 06074 (Ph: 860 644-8300) A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will take place at the Polson School at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 9th, upon completion at the Polson School the meeting will continue at the Brown Intermediate School, 980 Durham Road, Madison, CT at 4:00 P.M. Failure to attend the Pre-bid meeting may be reason for the Owner to reject the bid and disqualify the bidder. Questions regarding the scope or documents will be received up to 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 15th electronically to the attention of the Architect. Bids are due at the Madison Public Schools Office of Facilities, Att: William McMinn, 284 Green Hill Road, Madison, CT 06443 not later than 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
