899115 Legal Notice LEARN REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES CENTER Headquarters Business Office 44 Hatchetts Hill Road -Old Lyme, CT 06371 Tel (860) 434-4800 INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that sealed bids by which the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will contract for the LEARN Headquarters Roof Replacement will be received in the Business Office until 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 as determined by the Business Office[”]s clock, when bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting between prospective bidders and the Architect will convene outside the Main Entrance, 44 Hatchetts Hill Road, Old Lyme July 7, 2021 at 10:00 am when project details will be discussed and questions answered. All prospective bidders are urged to attend. A bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required and must accompany each bid. Bids must be held firm for ninety (90) days beyond the bid opening date. The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate oflnsurance with the CFO within ten (10) days of notice of bid award. Attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this contract which require payment of minimum wages and compliance with certain local, state, and federal requirements. Plans and specifications must be requested directly from Ken Biega at ken@noblecmessex.com and will be issued at no cost to the Contractor. Each bidder is responsible to determine if any addenda have been issued. Plans, specifications, and addenda will be issued by e-mail.
