LEGAL NOTICE Village of New Paltz Consent Order Compliance Sewer Remediation Identified by NYSDEC EPG Final Report Engineering Services – Request for Qualifications The Village of New Paltz is requesting Qualification Statements for Engineering Services for Office of Community Renewal funded Small Cities project #793PR115-20. Responses to this request will be accepted until 10:00 A.M., August 5, 2021 at the Office of the Village Clerk, New Paltz Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, NY 12561. Please mark on the outside of the envelope, “Response to Village of New Paltz Consent Order Compliance Sewer Remediation Identified by NYSDEC EPG Final Report Engineering Services RFQâ€?. Respondents are required submit one (1) original and six (6) copies of their proposal. The Village of New Paltz will use $808,875 in CDBG funds to replace sewer mains and manholes identified as deficient by a completed NYSDEC Engineering Planning Grant study. Replacement will occur on Orchard Lane, Elting Avenue, Lincoln Place, South Chestnut Street, Overlook Road and Mohonk Avenue. Project #793PR115-20 involves installing 1,725 LF of 8 inch sewer mains, install 13 manholes make lateral re-connections and provide site preparation, traffic control and road restoration. The project budget of $808,875 includes engineering design, permitting, engineering construction administration, field construction inspection and administrative costs. Sewer replacement will proceed during 2021 and 2022. The Village is seeking an engineering services consultant to provide services that may include surveying, project design, preparation of easement descriptions, permitting, construction inspection and contract administration. Copies of the Consolidated Funding Application, preliminary engineering report, cost estimate and project area maps are available for review at the Office of the Village Clerk, New Paltz Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, NY 12561, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualification statements will be evaluated based upon the following criteria and point values: – successful provision of engineering services to previous similar projects in the last five years that demonstrate relevant experience 40 points – capacity to provide key personnel and proposed staffing plan 20 points – ability to conform to the May 12, 2023 deadline for completion 20 points -respondent’s understanding of the scope including detailed work plan to complete design services 20 points Total 100 points Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to respond.
